PPH GLAD TO SEE BUSINESS IS BOOMING IN GOOLE

That’s the expert opinion of PPH Commercial director Ben Medhurst after playing a key role in bringing two new companies to the town’s recently-refurbished Opus 36 trading estate.

Located off New Potter Grange Road, the site has recently welcomed Harvey George Ltd – a furniture manufacturer based in Harrogate – and national fishing bait producer Aqua Feed as new tenants.

With another leisure-based business currently in negotiations to open at the same location later this year, the town continues to be an attractive proposition for companies of all sizes.

Ben Medhurst explained: “Goole has always been a popular trade location because it is perfectly placed between Hull and Leeds, it’s close to excellent national road links and it benefits from having its own port.

“We’ve brought numerous companies to this area in recent years and these latest additions are another sign of the growing confidence in Goole and its economy.

“The Opus site which we manage here at PPH Commercial is owned by the Cheshire-based Dean Property Group Limited, who are proud and excited to be investing in the town.

“We have worked in partnership with them for the past 15 years and they’re delighted that other manufacturers share their belief that Goole is a great place to do business.”

Having acquired the Opus site at auction more than 12 months ago, Dean Property Group have carried out an extensive refurbishment to bring the building up to date and make it more appealing.

Director Jonathan Beever believes the improved interest levels they have received has fully justified his company’s investment.

“The fact that PPH managed to secure two excellent businesses much faster than we had initially thought means it’s been a hugely-rewarding experience for everyone involved.

“Our refurbishment work is still ongoing and we’re fully committed to Opus as a project. We’re confident that local residents will begin to see the benefit of that in the months and years to come.”
