Kestrel are going to connect the building to their existing premises to create a much larger production area and warehouse/distribution facility. This will create increased employment opportunities going forward and represents the company’s commitment and confidence in the town.
The building was previously occupied for over 25 years by garden furniture importers Li-Lo Leisure who have reorganised their business and now operate only out of London.
Duncan Willey, Divisional Director PPH Commercial, said: “It is really encouraging for confidence in the area to see a building as large as this being sold. The purchasers identified growth within their business, and with the neighbouring property being available this gave them the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The property provides over 168,000 sq ft by way of two buildings on a site of approx 6.62 acres.” The property was on the market at a price of £4.25 million.
