BUSINESS IS BOOMING AT MELTON PARK

St Modwen's Melton Park development had a busy 2009. Completed transactions included the letting of 30,000 sq ft of distribution space to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the letting of 5,000 sq ft of office space to builders R & S Group and the sale of 2,500 sq ft of office space to a private investor.

In addition, in the past four weeks 4,500 sq ft of industrial space has been sold to a private investor and 4,500 sq ft has been sold to an owner.

Ben Medhurst of PPH Commercial, confirmed there were a significant number of new enquiries for the existing office and industrial space, which are being progressed at the moment, together with advanced discussions on a number of national occupiers looking at new design and build opportunities. He said, "Now, we are close to selling and letting the remaining industrial and office space, the focus will move to dealing with design and build enquiries. Melton's excellent position, located to the west of Hull with direct access onto the A63, has meant there has been a steady volume of enquiries, which will result in transactions completing over the year".
