Engineering design company had six staff in Hull in 2002, now it has 65

The Hull branch of an engineering design consultancy has moved to bigger offices after leading the company's growth for the past five years.
On Line Design & Engineering Ltd officially moved into its smart new home at Iridium Court in Priory Park West last Monday. The company opened a Hull office in Hedon Road in 2002, with just six members of staff. Now 65 people are employed in Hull.
Its client list includes some of the region's biggest players, such as Centrica Storage Limited, Reckitt Benckiser and BP.
On Line Design, launched in Immingham, North Lincolnshire, opened up north of the Humber after identifying a gap in the market. The decision has paid off with company's annual turnover at £26m, up from £12m in 2000.
Duncan Russell, engineering director said "The growth over the past five years is a direct result of the success of the Hull office with its local clients".
On Line Design and Engineering has three parts to its business, a design consultancy service, agency support, in which staff help businesses with specific projects, and a project management service.
The new office will create space for the company to develop its project management services, overseeing schemes from start to finish.
Graham Mumby, project business manager said "We want to push more for the complete project management work. More clients are demanding the complete package. This office will give us the space to set up segregated project teams. It is a fantastic move for the company".
The company is hosting an open day on February 24 to welcome current and potential clients to their new premises.
Blue chip companies from both north and south of the Humber are expected to attend.
Keith O'Reilly the Hull office manager said " We are just hoping to let clients see where we have progressed to and what we can now offer. It will hopefully be a friendly occasion to introduce people to our new office".
On Line Engineering signed the lease for the 12,000 sq ft property late last year. The deal was negotiated by PPH Commercial on behalf of the landlord.
